Optional Equipment for RCR Series Hydraulic Dock Levelers
(Check options desired)
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Poweramp RCR Series Hydraulic Railcar Ramps
store vertically on the exterior dock edge of the building. A “Track and Trolley”
10’ wide rear channel assembly permits the lateral movement of the ramp to
align the ramp with spotted railrar. The RCR series leveler is a premium, fully
hydraulic, rail ramp with independent control over leveler ramp and lip. Unit is
controlled remotely from a wall mounted control panel.
A multiple push button station permits independent raising and lowering of the
dock and extending and retraction of the lip. The width of the unit can be sized
for virtually any rail car door width and material handling equipment. Systems,
Inc. is an active member of Loading Dock Equipment Manufactures (LODEM),
a product section of the Material Handling Industry. Unit conforms to OSHA,
U.S. Department of Commerce standards CS202-56 and is manufactured in
compliance with American National Standard of Safety Performance and
Testing of Dock Leveling Devices (ANSI) MH30.1. Unit manufactured by
Systems, Inc.
CONSTRUCTION: The platform is constructed of ¼” thick 4-way high tensile
50,000 minimum yield A572 steel safety treadplate. Platform is reinforced and
supported by full-length structural “C” channels and wide flanged “I” beams.
Front and rear header plate is ½” thick, hot rolled steel. Lip plate is construct-
ed using 4-way safety treadplate. 40,000 lb Comparative Industry Rating (CIR)
are 5/8” thick, the 50,000 lb 60,000 lb CIR is 3/4” thick. Hinge tubes are 1 7/8”
x 3/8” wall or 2 1/8” x ½’ wall with 1” M1044 steel hinge pin depending on
capacity. 20” lip length is standard on all rail ramp levelers.
HYDRAULICS: A fixed displacement gear pump delivers fluid to the hoist and
lip cylinder. Hydraulic system can be deck mounted or installed in remote loca-
tion. Hoist cylinder is 3.5” ID bore with nitrotec anti-corrosion rod coating. Lip
operation is controlled by a cylinder having a 2 ½” ID bore. Lip cylinder is nick-
el plated for extended durability. Hoist cylinder is equipped with a flow control
valve which meters the decent of the ramp.

STANDARD OPERATION FEATURES: Infinite control of the leveler and lip are
standard with our multiple push button station. Power-up and power-down
“dead man” control features enhance operator control and safety. Free float of
the lever in the “working range” reduces the potential hazards associated with
safely transitioning wheeled equipment with a non-floating power down system.
A service range of above dock and below dock is standard on all railcar
levelers. 5” high run-off guards with telescoping supports for end-loading are
standard on all platforms. Dual maintenance props are provided with each ramp
for safe, long term, storage of ramp during installation or servicing or equip-
ment. Factory finish includes rust inhibitive prime coat industrial grade finish.
ELECTRICAL: Electrical pump and motor are either 1 ½ HP TENV at 120v
single phase or 208v, 230v, 460v or 575v three phase. Electrical control panel
is NEMA 12 enclosure. All components, connections and wiring are UL Listed
or recognized. Please Note: Unless specifically noted on quotation, all
electrical requirements are the responsibility of others.
WARRANTY: All POWERAMP RCR Series models feature a full one (1) year
base warranty on all structural, hydraulic and electrical parts, including freight
and labor charges in accordance with Systems, Inc’s Standard Warranty Policy.
Systems, Inc. warrants all components to be free of defects in materials and
workmanship, under normal use, during the warranty period. This base warran-
ty period begins upon the completion of installation or the sixtieth (60th) day
after shipment, whichever is earlier.
